Ramsey Ringnecks - Learn to Shoot Trap!

Ramsey Ringnecks - Learn to Shoot Trap!

Date: Thursday, July 05, 2018

Ramsey County Pheasants Forever is excited to sponsor a youth shooting team - the Ramsey Ringnecks!  This is a non-competitive four (4) week program to teach participants basic technique for shooting trap.  This program is designed for participants with minimal to no shooting experience but they must possess a MN Firearms Safety Certificate prior to starting the program.  (2 coaches are DNR Firearms Safety Instructors so please reach out to us for help meeting this requirement).  The goal of this program is to give participants the basic skill set to join a competitive high school program - or for those that have started with a high school program - to improve skills in a non-competitive program to gain confidence for your school program.  All youth who want to learn to shoot clay targets are welcome!  (Enrollment is limited)  Our program will begin August 3 and conclude in time for you to take your new skills to a high school shooting team - - and the field!

All participants in this program are invited and encouraged to join our Learn to Hunt event in September.  The cost for the 4 week Ramsey Ringnecks trap shooting program is $25 and includes targets and ammunition for 5-7 rounds of trap along with coaching and range safety officers.  Firearms are available for use.
